DIMES FOR DINNER
WHAT
A state-wide 4-H food & nutrition service project sponsored by the Texas 4-H Food & Nutrition Project Development Team. Collection of dimes (funding) to benefit the Texas 4-H Center’s food service ‘wish list’ (included). It is the choice of each individual or group to determine the method used to collect funds. An example would be a county 4-H food & nutrition project group conducting a bake sale.
WHO
ANYBODY! Participation can be individual or as a group on a county level. Examples include: registered 4-H members, volunteer leaders, clover kids, 4-H Clubs, Adult Leader’s Associations, 4-H project groups and teen councils.
WHEN
The project takes place from September 2004– May 2005, with announcement of top three donations made and the final amount collected at an assembly during the 2005 Texas 4-H Roundup. The attainable goal set to reach is $5,000!
HOW
Collected money should be mailed directly to the Texas 4-H Center with a completed submission form.
