Celebrate the centennial

FACILITIES AND LODGING

 

CONFERENCE CENTER

The Auditorium can be use for general sessions or break-outsThe Texas 4-H Conference Center offers 10 meeting rooms that can accommodate from 10 to 300 people. Rooms can be arranged in auditorium, classroom, or a variety of other styles to fit your needs. The meeting rooms include an auditorium with stage and sound system, break out rooms, covered patio and lakeside pavilion.

Other services that are available include audio-visual equipment, an online computer lab (5 computers), xerox, and fax. Internet access is also available in most meeting rooms, including the Leadership Lodge.

We can also provide a videoconference connection to any group requesting it. The videoconference unit is a Polycom ViewStation 128, capable of connecting using the H.323 videoconferencing standard directly to any compatible equipment on the internet.


LEADERSHIP LODGE

Leadership Lodge RoomThe Leadership Lodge is a hotel-type facility with 24 semi-private rooms surrounding a central meeting room, four of which are handicap accessible. A large lounge area with a big screen television, fireplace, piano and several sitting areas provides a relaxing and informal setting for a variety of activities. A canteen is located adjacent to the lounge. There is a large deck which provides a great view of the Brownwood Lake!

The conference room can accomodate small conferences, break out sessions, receptions, informal gatherings, small banquets and much more!

LAKESIDE PAVILION

Outdoor Cooking Facilities at the Lakeside PavilionThe Lakeside Pavilion is used primarily for family reunions (but certainly not limited to that type of event!). The Pavilion has 24 beds, a meeting/dining room, industrial kitchen, bathrooms with showers, and outdoor covered picnic area and charcoal grills. A fishing peer and boat dock are available. Groups may also rent canoes or bring their own waterfront entertainment (boats, jet skis, etc!) The boat ramp is just a few miles from the Center.

DORMITORIES

4-H Conference Center Dormitory

The Texas 4-H Conference Center has ten dormitories that can house up to 260 participants. Each dormitory consists of two bedrooms that will house up to 13 in each room. A common living area with colored television, desk, living room furniture and telephone is situated between the bedrooms to accommodate informal meeting activities. All the dorms have central heat and air, large shower and dressing areas. Linens are provided for most groups.
